On 8 May 2025, SAP will host a public webcast introducing the Apeiro Reference Architecture (ApeiroRA) – a strategic architecture contributing to the development of a Multi-Provider Cloud-Edge Continuum across Europe. The session will also present the newly launched open-source NeoNephos Foundation, an open and neutral governance structure designed to foster collaboration and transparency in cloud-edge innovation.
The ApeiroRA is part of the 8ra Initiative and reflects its core priorities: interoperability, digital sovereignty and open-source collaboration. Built on open-source standards, the architecture supports a distributed, federated cloud-edge infrastructure that enables cross-border collaboration and sector-wide innovation.
By establishing a common reference model and modular components, ApeiroRA plays a key role in aligning Europe’s cloud-edge capabilities and shaping a resilient, sustainable digital future.
