In the modern era of computing, the adoption of edge computing has revolutionised the way we process data by bringing computing closer to the edge. The judicious integration of containerisation technology into these environments offers flexibility, portability and efficient application management, paving the way for agile, optimised IT solutions at the network edge.
As part of the E2CC project, CGI is proposing a new solution to optimise the orchestration of Kubernetes containers in the Cloud to Edge continuum, responding to users’ CSR/Digital Responsibility challenges. CGI also offers a new Kubernetes cluster resource management solution to address the issue of energy frugality, one of the major challenges of our future. It is becoming increasingly necessary for companies to optimise the management of their IT resources to reduce energy consumption and limit the environmental impact of their production activities.
CGI’s objective is to offer a range of solutions that address energy constraints and resource utilisation costs by considering several factors. CGI also plans to offer a new approach that automatically detects application execution failures (anomalies) to improve user satisfaction.
