Economically and politically motivated cyber-attacks and disasters pose an increasing threat. IT security and resilience are therefore prerequisites for a high level of trust in the emerging European cloud and edge services.
Amadeus Data Processing GmbH‘s RESCUE project is developing a pilot setup of cyber-resistant digital twins for data centres and edges. Based on the open cloud edge infrastructure, an industrial-grade operating platform is being created that can host security- and business-critical applications on a large scale.
This platform creates high availability across multiple regions – an essential prerequisite for cross-border business continuity. Automation functions allow critical services to be moved dynamically between regions, while less critical services, such as test environments, can be set up and taken down as required.
