TStorage is a distributed NoSQL database, designed to effectively process so-called “time-stamped data” (data from IoT sensors, measurement devices, meters etc.). The distinctive capability of TStorage, making it unique on the European market, consists in processing data from IoT sensors such as data versioning (what is required in IoT software applications) and range queries (what ensures rapid data searching). This approach allows real-time ML-enabled analysis and fast decision-making based on field data.
The main goal of the project is re-designing and re-engineering the functionalities of TStorage in such a way that it can be a scalable, secure, energy-efficient and highly available database cloud solution (DBaaS), which requires extensive RDI and FID efforts. TStorage is the first European time-series database which will provide the tools for fast data processing available to industrial applications, research units and EU citizens via cloud service providers.
