SLA Governance Framework for Secure and Reliable Cross-Border Cloud Services

The FACIS project (Federation Architecture for Composition Infrastructure Services), part of the 8ra Initiative, invites stakeholders to its workshop on next-generation Service Level Agreement (SLA) management. The workshop will explore how Europe can strengthen secure, transparent and harmonised SLA governance across the Multi-Provider Cloud-Edge Continuum.

FACIS is developing an SLA governance framework and machine-readable and automated Service Level Agreements for multi-provider environments, which enable interoperability, legal certainty and trust in federated digital infrastructures. The framework combines harmonised metrics and modular structures to strengthen Europe’s capacity for open, sovereign cloud collaboration.

The workshop will present two practical tools:

  • Governance Playbook: practical principles for designing, negotiating and managing service commitments across diverse environments.
  • Taxonomy: creating a shared language that makes SLAs comparable, understandable and easier to automate.

The event brings together industry, research and regulators to strengthen Europe’s digital ecosystem. It highlights SLA governance as a cornerstone of trusted multi-provider operations.
