8ra is opening its ecosystem to new partners across Europe. We welcome organisations that want to contribute to an open, sovereign and interoperable cloud-edge continuum and help shape the next phase of European digital infrastructure.
Whether your organisation brings technologies, infrastructure, use cases, open-source expertise or ecosystem-building experience, our “expression of interest” form allows you to signal your interest in becoming part of the 8ra ecosystem:
What 8ra stands for
8ra is built around shared principles that guide the development of the ecosystem:
Openness and collaboration
8ra aims to connect organisations across countries, sectors and technology domains to foster collaboration and shared development.
Interoperability and federation
The ecosystem supports technologies and approaches that enable different providers, infrastructures and services to work together across a federated cloud-edge continuum.
Open source and transparency
Open-source technologies play an important role in promoting transparency, resilience and trust while helping to avoid structural dependencies and vendor lock-in.
European digital sovereignty
8ra contributes to giving organisations in Europe greater control, choice and resilience across their digital infrastructure and services.
Industry-driven development
The next phase of 8ra is shaped by practical needs, concrete use cases and the ambition to bring cloud-edge technologies closer to deployment and adoption.
Who we are looking for
We invite expressions of interest from European organisations that want to contribute to the 8ra ecosystem and its next phase of development.
This may include, for example:
- technology providers working on cloud, edge, AI, data, connectivity or infrastructure services
- companies with concrete use cases, deployment scenarios or integration needs
- organisations contributing to open-source technologies, standards or interoperability
- research and innovation actors with relevant technical or ecosystem expertise
- public or private organisations interested in strengthening Europe’s digital infrastructure ecosystem
- partners that can support adoption, exploitation, community-building or cross-border collaboration
We are particularly interested in organisations that share 8ra’s commitment to openness, interoperability, digital sovereignty and European collaboration.
How your organisation can contribute
There are different ways to contribute to the 8ra ecosystem, depending on your organisation’s role, expertise and strategic interest.
Possible contributions may include:
- bringing technical components, services or infrastructure into the ecosystem
- contributing to pilots, demonstrators or integration activities
- providing concrete use cases and sector-specific requirements
- supporting open-source development and interoperability work
- contributing expertise in architecture, governance, deployment or exploitation
- helping to build bridges between technology providers, users, research and public stakeholders
- supporting the long-term development of a sustainable European cloud-edge ecosystem
The expression of interest helps us better understand your organisation’s potential role and how it could connect to the 8ra ecosystem.
What happens after submitting the form?
After submission, your expression of interest will be reviewed by the 8ra Initiative. The review will consider your organisation’s fit with the goals, principles and current development priorities of the ecosystem.
Please note that submitting the form does not automatically constitute membership, partnership or formal participation in 8ra. It is a first step to indicate your organisation’s interest and provide relevant information for further assessment.
