As IPCEI-CIS moves further into implementation, the 8ra Initiative is entering a decisive phase: turning technological progress into practical uptake across Europe.

The CISERO workshop “Europe Connected: From IPCEI-CIS Results to Deployment” will bring together IPCEI-CIS project representatives, companies, SMEs, innovation intermediaries and public-sector actors to explore how emerging cloud-edge solutions can be adopted, replicated and scaled beyond the current IPCEI-CIS ecosystem.

From results to real-world deployment

The workshop focuses on a critical transition point for IPCEI-CIS: from developing and testing next-generation cloud-edge technologies to enabling their use by a broader European ecosystem.

Participants will gain insights into emerging results, concrete use cases and practical pathways for collaboration. The event is designed for stakeholders who want to engage directly with the technologies, teams and deployment opportunities shaping Europe’s sovereign, secure and interoperable Multi-Provider Cloud-Edge Continuum.

Who should attend?

The workshop is aimed at stakeholders who are ready to engage with IPCEI-CIS results and explore concrete uptake opportunities, including:

  • companies and SMEs looking to adopt or integrate advanced cloud-edge solutions
  • innovation intermediaries such as clusters, digital innovation hubs, industry platforms and research and technology organisations
  • public authorities and policymakers interested in deployment, replication and strategic alignment
  • IPCEI-CIS project representatives and pilot leads seeking potential users, partners and cooperation pathways

Outreach is particularly focused on stakeholders from Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Portugal, Malta and Cyprus.

What to expect

The programme will include:

  • a strategic overview of IPCEI-CIS progress, key milestones and early impacts
  • a results-driven showcase of selected IPCEI-CIS projects
  • direct exchange with project teams on use cases, adoption requirements and collaboration opportunities
  • deep-dive meetings on deployment pathways and practical next steps
  • a plenary discussion on how IPCEI-CIS results can live on within the broader 8ra vision

Connecting IPCEI-CIS results with the 8ra vision

For the 8ra Initiative, the event marks an important step in connecting IPCEI-CIS outcomes with a broader European innovation landscape.

As projects develop first tangible results, the next challenge is to ensure that these technologies reach those who can use them: cloud providers, industrial users, SMEs, innovation intermediaries and public-sector actors across Europe.

The workshop will also look ahead to the role of 8ra as an umbrella and continuation pathway for Europe’s evolving cloud-edge ecosystem, opening opportunities for new actors and countries to engage.
