This session will explore how the collaborative Edge projects by Corporación MONDRAGON, Arsys, OpenNebula Systems, and Telefónica de España—supported by the European IPCEI-CIS initiative—are contributing to building a sovereign, distributed, and interoperable infrastructure aligned with Europe’s digital autonomy strategy.

Throughout the event, the partners will share the progress of their IPCEI-CIS projects, highlighting synergies and real-world use cases. They will explore how their solutions, combined with Edge Cloud infrastructure and nodes, are bringing services closer to the edge, reducing latency, and strengthening data control. Furthermore, they will demonstrate how they enable an open, multi-vendor, and interoperable model for both businesses and public administrations. These projects are part of the European ‘8ra’ initiative, which aims to promote the Cloud Continuum as an interoperable Edge ecosystem.
