CyFORT is a research project aimed at developing a series of open-source cybersecurity software tools, with the overall objective to build an open platform of interconnected resources and cybersecurity solutions addressing current challenges in the cybersecurity landscape of cloud computing. Therefore, CyFORT aims at improving node and network security of entities that either provide or use cloud infrastructure and services. CyFORT is developing the following activities: secure software development and assurance, intrusion detection and prevention, cyber threat intelligence analysis, pseudonymisation in distributed ledger technologies, risk management, governance, auditing and monitoring in cloud services, and migration of classical cryptographic solution to post-quantum cryptography (PQC) schemes.
The project is built on advanced machine learning algorithms such as deep neural networks (DNNs) combined with innovations in sophisticated mathematical techniques aimed at tailoring advances in this realm to the domain of intrusion detection systems. CyFORT incorporate state-of-the-art strongly typed database systems powered by logical type systems into cyber threat intelligence (CTI) to create a CTI analytics platform that can benefit from automated reasoning and inference engines not only to derive new CTI knowledge, but also to facilitate analysis and exploration of the already vast space of CTI repositories and knowledge bases.
