The growING project is revolutionising collaboration in special machine construction through the further development of digital twins. The aim is to enable seamless, digital and cross-company cooperation in order to shorten the time-to-market for new machines.

Interoperability technologies such as the Asset Administration Shell and the Eclipse Dataspace Connector are used to ensure the compatibility of different tools and processes. Demonstrators and pilot systems are being set up in real application scenarios to validate the efficiency and practicality of the solutions developed.

growING is making a significant contribution to building the multi-provider cloud edge continuum by delivering requirements and testing applications and technologies provided. The project takes the concept of digital twins to a new level by gradually enriching them and making them usable for more complex scenarios. In this way, growING strengthens the digital sovereignty of Germany and Europe and reduces technological dependencies, while promoting the training and qualification of specialists in the field of digital technologies.
