This project tackles the challenge of multilingual data processing in today’s information age. The project builds a comprehensive platform equipped with cutting-edge -powered language technologies. This platform will be able to handle massive amounts of multilingual data in different modalities across all 24 official EU languages. The project’s core mission is two-fold:
- Empowering Global Access: By removing language barriers, we aim to ensure everyone has access to information, regardless of their native tongue. This foster cross-border cooperation, mobility, and social inclusivity within the EU;
- European Technological Leadership: This platform will integrate state-of-the-art language technologies developed through a powerful European partnership between industry and academia.
This strengthens Europe’s technological sovereignty and positions it as a leader in the field of multilingual AI. The benefits of this project extend far beyond language. It allows to unlock the true value hidden within vast amounts of unstructured multilingual data. This is especially crucial during times of crisis, where timely and accurate information is vital for public safety.
